Workbridge Case Study

Client Review

Workbridged engaged Grow My Business in September 2021 to rebuild our main jobseeker-focused website. There were significant challenges in this project including a significant pivot as to our messaging as an organisation, the design of the site, new content, photo imagery and managing a very large amount of information that needed to be thinned out, reorganised and moved onto the new site. In addition, as an organisation that serves the disability community the site needed to be accessible to the very highest level. This was a big ask! As we worked with GMB we realised that they could more than meet the challenge. They have a unique combination of business marketing nouse, design capability and technical expertise. And they deliver on time and to budget with a much-needed sense of humour. Needless to say we then engaged them to do 3 more websites for us. Thanks, GMB you made what could have been a nightmare of a project a dream.

The Problem

Greater support and accessibility

Workbridge had an old Silver Stripe site version 3.7.3 website that was nearing its end of life and needed significant upgrades. Accessibility on the site was not great but was paramount to the disability community it was serving. The site also combined several user groups without really clear customer pathways for any of them. Overall the site was dated and no longer met the needs of the Workbridge community.

The Solution

We moved the website on to WordPress for more flexibility and to be much more easily managed and updated by the team. Accessibility was a core focus which we spent some time on ensuring it meet not just the NZ Govt accessibility standards but usability standards for accessibility too. With the change in platform, came the opportunity to make Workbridge the primary site for job seekers and to declutter the usability of the site by moving the employer information to another site. We created Mahia Kotahi and Just Say Yes as more business and employer-focused websites that could be much targeted with their messaging and information.
