How to sign into Figma and make comments

Well, uhm, just thought I would do a quick video to show you how to add comments to your Figma design.

So, this is the link, uhm, that you get, and then when it opens up, this is kind of what it should look like with our few different options in and around here.

So, what we want to do is be able to comment, uhm, on things. Uh, you will not be able to edit or inspect, uhm, in Figma, but you will be able to comment.

So, you’ve got a couple options. You can either sign up this way, or you can use Google to continue. So, if I click on sign up, then I can just pop in.

Uh, an email address, admin, just do this to make sure it works.

Go minus, minus, okay, you can see it. Continue with email, create a password. Didn’t like that password.

Then I would need to go and get the link and make sure that that is all correct. Good. Give me one moment. Cool.

I went into my email, clicked on verify, and now it’s going to bring me to this page here. And what I’d like to do is write my name in there.

I’m not too bothered about subscribing, to be honest. And then I’m going to click on continue. Um, uh, oh, I thought it was going No, it’s my first time. Continue.

From here, what state would I like? I just want to view and comment only. I don’t want to be doing any of these other bits. Um, don’t worry about collab or anything. I just want to view.

Then I’m going to click on finish. Now, all I can do is view and comment on this file.

Um, if you ask to edit, we will not let you. Because that can mess with a few things. So now I’m going to go back to the web design section, zoom on in, and what I can do here is click on this little comment button.

So I can use if I push down command while I scroll. Then it’s going to zoom me in and out, and if I click on shift when I scroll, it’s going to take me left to right.

So if I zoom in, I can pop up here, and I can add a comment here. And say, change this, oh, heading to, and then whatever I would like this heading to be changed to, dot, dot, dot, dot.

Cool, and then we were done. We get a notification that you’ve added a comment, and then we have a list of comments at the side that comes through.
