Set Up GoDaddy + Give GMB Delegate Access

I’m Daniella from Grow My Business and today I’m just showing you how to set up a GoDaddy account and then invite us as Delegate Access.

This means that you have full control and ownership and management over your own domains and your business’ domains, which is great for security and for future proofing.

Uh, for way down the line. However, adding Delegate Access means that we can do all the technical stuff in the background, uh, and all of that there, uh, without needing to use your logins or your 2FA each time.

So it just makes for a really smooth, uhm, easy process for both parties involved. So, super easy to do this. We’re just going to click sign in, and then create an account.

I’m going to sign in using my email address, so I’ll copy it there. Username can be your email or whatever you like, password. There we go. Then you want to click agree. I personally don’t want to receive promotional emails.

I’m not going to create my account. Name is in use. Oh, how rude. Oh, the joys. Cool. Then what we want to do is, I would like to save my password if I want to use those. Or I’m going to send a verification code.

To my email address and then this, I’m just going to pop over and grab that clicked into my inbox. And this has come straight on through. So this is what it will look like. I want to click on that code. And then I’m going to copy that and paste it straight into here and verify the code just to let it know that, uhm, I am who I’m saying I am with my email.

Now what you’ve done here is you’ve got an account and that’s pretty much all the steps you need to take to start with. Uh, except for, we are now going to go to my account here and I’m just going to go straight to domains.

This is now showing me a different page which is fantastic and what I want to do So, is . . look straight here on delegate access under the settings. So, these are accounts I can access here and I can request a account here or what I would like you to do is people who can access my account.

Then I can click on invite to access name I’m going to do, uh, grow my business. Email, I’m going to use support at growmybusiness.co.nz. it. Excessly we’re all required.

Uh, you’re welcome to do this top one where we can also make purchases on your behalf. However, products and domains is perfectly, um, perfectly fantastic as well. Just to be able to manage those domains and things, um, especially.

Then I want to click invite. And that is all I need to do, uh, all you need to do at this stage. What you will need to do at some point and you will be emailed and asked to sort this out is to go to your account settings. This will be when your domain is ready for renewal.

Uh, and there’s a few different things that you can set. Up here, uh, and one of them that you’ll need to set up is to, to, to payment methods. You will need to add a card to this so that you can, um, automatically just pay for your domain annually.

Most domains, uh, you should have an idea of already, but are around the $40, um. Uh, $40 New Zealand dollar mark, uh, per year. And that is all I need you to do to set that up.
