How to swap images on Bricks
Transcript:
Hello, today I’m just going to show you how to edit and swap some photos out on your website.
So, we’re on the front end here, say I want to change this background image here, or change this side of the image here as well.
So, what I’m going to do when I’m logged in, I can see that I see this, um, top black band, and I’d like to click on dashboard. Now, this should look relatively familiar.
This might be where you end up when you first log in as well. I’m going to go to our pages, and then I’m going to go onto the hover. When I hover over, I’ve got a few different options, and I want to click on edit with bricks. Now, um, very simply, all I have to do is click on the image that I want, and then that kind of shows me where things are.
And if I pop over to the side here, I can see image. So as there’s an overlay, I can’t see an image. So And here to adjust these settings, and however the image I can So if I click on the image here, then all I have to do is click on here, and this is going to show me my media library for the different images that we have loaded up. And I’m going to upload files here as well.
What is quite key with uploading images and things is we definitely want to, uhm, have them optimised for the website. So if you’ve gone through image resizer, uhm, we can add it.
That is a great way to, uh, ensure that your images are in WebP format, uh, and is, uh, optimised and reduced and gone, gotten rid of any of the background fluff of that.
Uh, so all you have to do is select your image there, click insert. And the image will then change for you there. Scrolling on down, this is the same for images, um, in any, any, uh, way.
Again, I can see image on the side here, and then I can click it here. And choose whatever image I would like it to be. Yeah.
If I want to see what that looks like on the front end, I can click on the, view on the front end button, and that is going to show me what that looks like. Oh, no. It’s the same.
Okay, maybe I’m just gonna save and view on the front end. I’ll do. Then that’s going to show me- Oh, I don’t want it to be that one because it’s chopping off the head so it’s not filling the space in the way that I want to do it. I’m gonna go back to my tab here, and I’m going to then replay.
Place this image back to the original one that it was. And then again, I want to click Save. live. Prove you on the front end, and that’s brought that image back in for me, which I like. Uhh, so we’ve saved, and then to exit we just go back to our post-type in the top left corner there.
Thank you so much.
