Set Up GoDaddy + Give GMB Delegate Access

Instructions:

Setting up Delegate Access in GoDaddy allows you to keep full control and ownership of your domains while giving us access to manage the technical side of things.

This means we can help with domain management without needing to use your login details or two-factor authentication each time.

Create a GoDaddy account

  1. Go to the GoDaddy website.
  2. Click Sign In.
  3. Select Create an Account.
  4. Enter your account details:
    • Email address.
    • Username.
    • Password.
  5. Agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. Choose whether you would like to receive promotional emails.
  7. Click Create Account.
  8. Go to your email inbox and find the verification email from GoDaddy.
  9. Copy the verification code and enter it into GoDaddy to verify your account.

Your GoDaddy account is now set up.

Invite Grow My Business with Delegate Access

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy account.
  2. Go to My Account.
  3. Click Domains.
  4. Under Settings, find Delegate Access.
  5. Select Invite to Access.
  6. Enter the following details:
  7. Select the access level you would like to provide.

You can allow access to make purchases on your behalf, however, access to manage Products and Domains is enough for us to manage your domain.

  1. Click Invite.

We will now have access to help manage your domains.

Add a payment method

When your domain is ready for renewal, GoDaddy will send you an email asking you to update your payment details.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy account settings.
  2. Add a payment method.
  3. Add a card so your domain can be renewed automatically each year.

Most domains are around the $40 NZD mark per year. That’s everything you need to get your GoDaddy account and Delegate Access set up.
