How to update your SEO Metadata on your WordPress website using RankMath

Instructions:

Updating your SEO metadata allows you to control the information that appears in Google search results, including your focus keyword, title, and description.

Update your SEO metadata

1. Log in to your WordPress website.
2. From the dashboard, go to Pages.
3. Find the page you would like to update.
4. Click Edit to open the individual page.
5. In the top corner of the page editor, find the Rank Math icon.
6. Click on the Rank Math icon to open the SEO settings.
7. Add your Focus Keyword.
8. Click Edit Snippet to update the SEO information.
9. Update the details shown in the preview:
   • Title – update the page title you would like to appear on Google.
   • Description – update the description that appears below the title.
10. Use the preview as a guide to see how your page may look when it appears on Google.
11. Do not change the Permalink. If you would like to change the URL, please get in touch with us and we can help.
12. Once you are happy with your changes, click Save in the top corner.

You can now return to your Pages list. Your SEO details will be saved for that page.
